On our tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we will begin by exploring Pisac and its archaeological site.
Already at noon we will have lunch in Urubamba, then we will visit Ollantaytambo, recognized as “Best tourist town in the World”, where we will observe large lithic pieces of finely carved blocks of stones, to be used for astronomical purposes that cause worldwide amazement for locals and strangers, after the tour we will move to the station to board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, a journey of approximately 01 hour and 50 minutes, where you can spend the night.

In the morning, early in the morning, we will transfer you to the bus station to go up to the archaeological sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
The trip lasts 25 minutes, through a zigzagging road to reach the Inca citadel.

The guide will take you on a tour of approximately 3 hours, where you will learn about important aspects of the CUSQUEÑA (Inca) culture, the development of its stone constructions, with unique buildings, full of mystery and energy. The citadel has an agricultural and urban area composed of squares, temples, roads, stairways, terraces, aqueducts, among other terraces, which are held in place by stone retaining walls. Machu Picchu is considered a great architectural and engineering feat and there is no doubt why it is considered one of the 7 wonders of the world.

Machu Picchu can be visited year-round. For those seeking packages that include entry and transportation, we recommend the months from May to October for their pleasant weather and lower chances of rain.
November and December mark the beginning of the rainy season, when the landscapes turn green, and the afternoons become cooler. Although it may rain some days, tours proceed as usual, and the mist covering the sanctuary adds a mysterious touch. If it rains, you can continue the tour with a poncho or waterproof jacket.
Some travelers prefer visiting during the rain for a unique experience of this world wonder. If you want to avoid rain, the best chances for clear skies are after 11 a.m.
In January, February, and March, rain is more frequent, making these months low season, which is advantageous for those looking for fewer tourists. The landscapes are greener, and the weather is cooler.
If you decide to travel during this season, we recommend booking your tickets for after 11 a.m., increasing your chances of clear weather. Rain may last from 3 to 4 days a week, with mild rain all day or intense but short rain showers.
Remember, the weather in the Andes is unpredictable, but the information provided aims to give you a general idea of the season’s climate.

Although you can book a day before your visit, it’s recommended to book five or six months in advance, as entries are limited. If you wish to visit Huayna Picchu (WAYNAPICCHU), consider booking three months in advance.
It’s important to reserve early, as popular entries like circuit 2 sell out quickly.
If you can’t book early, you can opt for alternative entries, such as circuit 1 (upper part) or circuit 3 (lower part).
During some times of the year, getting last-minute tickets can be difficult due to high demand. Therefore, our recommendation is to plan ahead and contact our agency, YANAPAY TRAVEL, to ensure your visit to Machu Picchu.
