What is the ESNNA code?
Sexual Exploitation of Girls, Boys and Adolescents in Tourism (ESNNA) refers to the use of minors for sexual, pornographic or erotic purposes in exchange for money or benefits, such as food or clothing. The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) is working to raise awareness among authorities, tourism service providers and the general public about the importance of preventing this problem, through actions such as training regional and local government officials, disseminating informational videos on good practices, strengthening the capacities of tourism service providers, and promoting the signing of the Code of Conduct against ESNNA, in accordance with Law No. 30802, which seeks to guarantee the protection and integrity of minors in tourist establishments.
"Responsible tourism protects children by eradicating sexual exploitation and ensuring a safe future for all."
